Before you choose a plan
Starlight Studio runs on Windows PC, not directly on a phone, Mac, Nintendo Switch or PlayStation. You also need a compatible save that the Windows application can open. Check the pricing page for the current duration, device limit and profile limit; limits vary by plan and are not unlimited.
Personal plans and reseller licenses are separate. If you handle customer profiles commercially, read the dedicated reseller terms rather than assuming a personal plan grants that permission. A license does not supply the game or its paid expansions.
Purchase and prepare
Use your Starlight Select account to purchase the appropriate plan. Once payment is confirmed, the account provides the applicable license and download access. Follow the activation instructions shown with your download. If the payment is pending or access is missing, contact support with the order reference instead of buying twice.
- Close the game and allow cloud synchronisation to finish.
- Create an untouched backup and identify the intended player’s compatible save.
- Open the save in Studio; review the player details and any compatibility or Save Health warnings.
Make a small first change
Start with a supported change you can recognise easily. Review the staged changes and use the normal Save Changes workflow rather than editing raw data alongside the application. Keep the backup and verify the result in game before making further changes.
Support can help with account access, downloads and supported workflows. Include your platform, launcher, Studio version and a clear description of the issue. Never put an account password into a general message. Responses may take up to 24 hours; Discord and the support page provide asynchronous contact options.
